Conditions of booking

What is the process for making a booking?

To make a booking, start by selecting your preferred package, then access the calendar to choose the date and time that work best for you. You will find all the necessary information about the booking process and next steps by clicking the booking link.

If your preferred date or time is not available, please don’t worry—feel free to send me a message, and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

How far in advance should I book you?

I recommend booking at least 1–3 months in advance to secure your preferred date and avoid disappointment, especially during tulip season and other peak periods.

Due to tax regulations, I accept online bookings up to 4 months ahead. However, you are welcome to pre-book a date by email earlier. This gives you priority to confirm your desired day and time once the 4-month booking window opens, and I will keep you updated throughout the process.

If you have a tight deadline or need a last-minute photoshoot, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I will always do my best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.

Can you take a last minute booking?

Possibly. If my schedule allows, I may still have availability for a last-minute photoshoot. Please contact me as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to arrange a suitable date and time.

Do you shoot on weekends or public holidays?

I generally do not photograph on public holidays, as I value spending time with my loved ones and outdoor locations tend to be busier on those days. However, there may be occasional exceptions. Weekends are usually my days off, allowing me to maintain a healthy work–life balance and ensure I give my best to every photoshoot.

That said, I am happy to accommodate clients who are unable to book during the week—such as for events, commercial projects, or private sessions—subject to availability.

When weekend sessions are scheduled, I recommend shooting early in the morning, as many locations tend to be busier later in the day. A weekend fee is automatically applied and calculated in the booking calendar when selecting a Saturday or Sunday.

Do you charge travel costs?

  • Extra travel fees may apply for locations outside Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Hilversum.

  • For destinations outside the Netherlands, travel costs will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Can my photos not be featured?

As the photographer, I retain the copyright to the images I create. This allows me to showcase my latest work and connect with future clients who feel drawn to my style. That said, your privacy truly matters to me.

Many people discover my work through photos I’ve been kindly allowed to share. Without that trust, it would be much harder for new clients to find and connect with my style — something I’m always genuinely grateful for.

It’s a core part of my policy that your photos are never used or shared without your explicit consent. You’re always in control, and this is where your choice comes in:

Shining a light on your story
If you’re comfortable with it, occasionally featuring your photos helps me continue creating and reaching people who appreciate my work. This may include my website, blog, social media, portfolio, or printed materials.

🔒 Prefer not to have your photos featured?
That’s absolutely okay. If you’d rather keep your images exclusively for personal use, you can opt out of any showcasing for an additional €60 (excluding VAT).

The “Do Not Feature” fee ensures your photos remain private and are not used for promotional, marketing, or portfolio purposes.

How long is the validity of a photoshoot?

The photoshoot is valid for half year from the date of purchase. This means that you have 6 months to schedule, conduct, and enjoy your photoshoot. If the photoshoot isn't completed within this period, your photoshoot will expire. If the photoshoot isn't completed within this period, your photoshoot package will expire. This means that you would no longer be able to utilise the photography services included in the package.

Can you recommend a professional make-up and hairstylist?

Absolutely. I regularly collaborate with professional make-up artists and hairstylists across the Netherlands for Portrait, Boudoir, Commercial, and Fashion photoshoots.

Once your photoshoot is booked, you will gain access to your Client Portal, where you’ll find all the resources for your session, including a PDF booklet with curated make-up and hairstylists. The artists featured have been carefully selected over the past few years, and their rates vary depending on experience and portfolio.

Portrait Photography
Portrait photos are intended for personal use only, including private use and personal social media. They may not be used for business promotion, advertising, websites, YouTube channels, or any form of marketing.

If you wish to use portrait images commercially, you may purchase the Commercial Usage Rights for an additional fee. The cost will be calculated based on the duration of use and where the images will be published. Any unauthorised commercial use will result in an additional charge. For business-related needs, I recommend booking a Personal Branding Photography or LinkedIn Photoshoot, which may be a better fit.

Images from Boudoir, Commercial, and Fashion photoshoots may be used to promote your business or brand at no additional cost.

Once your photoshoot is booked, you will receive personalised clothing advice and styling recommendations through your Client Portal, tailored to the type of shoot. Depending on the season, I can also advise you on suitable colours and props to ensure your photos look cohesive and timeless.

Absolutely. I will guide you throughout the entire photoshoot, helping you feel comfortable, confident, and natural in front of the camera. When you are relaxed and enjoying the experience, it truly shows in your images.

Is it possible to upgrade my package?

Yes! I recommend finalising any package upgrades at least two weeks in advance. Depending on availability, it may be possible to accommodate upgrade requests closer to your photoshoot date.

Are you willing to travel for photoshoots?

Absolutely! Although I am based in Hilversum, I travel to Amsterdam daily for photoshoots and regularly work throughout the Netherlands. I am grateful to have discovered almost all of the Netherlands thanks to my profession. As an avid traveler and explorer, I genuinely enjoy photographing in new locations.

If you are interested in working together in another city, feel free to get in touch. I will be happy to suggest nearby locations and explore the many creative possibilities with you.

Is there a discount for returning clients?

Yes! As a thank-you for supporting my photography business, returning clients are eligible for a special discount on future photoshoots. Please feel free to get in touch for more details.

Follow-up & Retouching

Can I select my favorite photos?

Definitely, you can choose your favorite photos from the proofs. The number of photographs for selection will be determined by the photoshoot and package that you have booked.

Please remember that duplicate photos, the outtakes of blurry images, eyes closed, hair in the face, unflattering poses or facial expressions are eliminated after careful consideration before your photo proof selection process. This will save you considerable time while selecting your favorite photos. The photo proofs are not the final creative product, but they provide clients with a representative view of the images before they are retouched.

Approximately 2-3 business days following the photoshoot, photo proofs are delivered and uploaded on a password-protected gallery:

  • With a low resolution
  • Without any retouching
  • With a watermark in the center (protects the photos from infringements and unauthorized use).

After the client selects his or her favorite images from the proofs, the photographer will retouch and artistically edit the final images. The real magic happens during retouching! Retouched photos are delivered at the highest quality, size and without any watermarks.

What is the deadline for selecting my final photos?

In most cases, clients select their photos within one week, however, we understand that traveling or working can make it difficult to pick the perfect photos right away. Upon delivering your private gallery, we allow you a one month window to select your photos. This gives you ample time to look over, contemplate, and make informed decisions about the photos you want to go forward with.

You will be notified of the deadline for selecting your photos. It is your responsibility to select them before the deadline passes. Due to our multiple projects, we cannot follow up via email, so if no photos are selected on that day, we will proceed to select and retouch our favourite photos and send them to you, this will signify that the project has been completed.

Do you provide all the photos taken or RAW files?

No, I do not provide unedited photos, raw files nor do I provide raw files of the photos you choose. I take pride in delivering a curated selection of beautifully edited photos that perfectly capture your memories. Each photo undergoes my signature style of color correction, light enhancement, and retouching, as showcased in my portfolio. This ensures a consistent and polished final product that reflects the high-quality outcome I strive for.

Why don’t you provide RAW files or unedited photos?

The unedited photos and RAW files do not reflect my portfolio style, and as an artist, delivering unretouched photos would mean my work is incomplete. You are hiring me because you trust my work and appreciate the way I photograph and retouch. To ensure the photos look their best, I only deliver retouched images. I greatly appreciate your understanding.

The final photographs will be delivered with professional color correction and retouching at the highest size and quality, without any watermarks.

Can I purchase additional photos?

  • Portraits, Basic Retouching 20€ per photo (excl. VAT)
  • For Tinder, LinkedIn and Personal Branding, Professional Retouching. Professional Retouching 28€ per photo (excl. VAT). By filling out this Briefing Questionnaire, you can get the total cost per campaign or project.

What types of retouching do you provide?

Each of your chosen images is lovingly hand-retouched; first processed from its Raw file. We use Lightroom for color correction and Photoshop to retouch our photographs. Our retouching style is bright, colorful, and natural. Below we have explained the differences between the different photo retouching services:

  • Basic Photo Retouching. By its name, it involves quick and small retouching to remove small objects, traffic signals, and people in the background (If there are a lot of people in the background, we may not be able to remove them because the photo will not look real, avoid this by shooting in the early morning or following the locations and times we recommend). A basic photo retouching service is included in all portrait photos, such as Amsterdam daily and night shoots, proposals, engagements, maternity, Tulip Fields and Keukenhof photo sessions.

  • Although we encourage our clients to love themselves as they are, we are also happy to cover their needs when it comes to retouching when necessary. In the event that the client wants to have blemishes, spots or scars removed, skin smoothed, to reduce double chins or to slim down their body, it requires a more extensive amount of time for photo manipulation, so there is an additional charge of 10€ for retouching (excl. VAT).

  • Professional Retouching. This retouching is an upgrade from our Basic Retouching. It includes blemish removal, skin smoothing, teeth whitening, color correction, background enhancement or background extension and removing distracting small objects in the background or people if needed. We can also remove stray hair from the subject's faces and contour their faces at no extra cost. Professional Retouching is included for Tinder, LinkedIn, and Personal Branding photos.

  • High-End Retouching. High-End Retouching is designed to make each image truly shine. This process requires significantly more time and precision than standard or professional retouching, allowing for a meticulous, detail-driven approach. Each image is carefully refined with attention to fine details such as skin texture, wrinkles, stray hairs, clothing imperfections, and overall balance. When needed, subtle and natural body reshaping is applied, always with respect for realism and the client’s preferences. Any specific imperfections or adjustments are handled in line with prior discussions and client feedback. High-End Retouching may also include advanced compositing to achieve the strongest possible final image.

This level of retouching is included for High-End Retouching is included for Boudoir, Commercial & Fashion photography. where a refined, polished result is essential.

  • Additional retouching fees of €5 per photo (excl. VAT) are required for removing tattoos, scars, burns, or braces. This fee is not included in any of our retouching services.

Can I request specific edits on my photos?

I aim to apply my natural enhanced editing style, focusing on balanced colour, light correction, and refined retouching, often featuring warm tones and a soft golden-hour feel, as showcased in my portfolio. Each image is carefully adapted to its ambience and creative vision so it looks its absolute best. I am always happy to discuss specific editing requests for your selected images, such as vintage tones or other stylistic preferences.

Please note that additional charges may apply if achieving your requested edits requires extra retouching time beyond what is included. To ensure your vision is met without any surprises, I recommend sharing your editing preferences before booking, or at least before the retouching process begins.

What is the turnaround time?

Cancellation & Change Policy

Weather Policy

While weather conditions are beyond my control, I am committed to ensuring the best possible experience for every client. To plan accordingly, weather forecasts are carefully checked three times: one week before, one day before, and on the morning of your photoshoot. If rescheduling becomes necessary, I will keep you informed every step of the way.

Light rain does not automatically require rescheduling. I provide transparent umbrellas that allow for unique, cinematic photos, beautifully capturing Amsterdam’s canals and falling raindrops. Rain is part of Amsterdam and the Netherlands’ essence—not just bikes, tulips, and cheese, which can be found year-round. That said, I have been very fortunate to enjoy good weather during the majority of my photoshoots.

For Clients Living in The Netherlands

If weather conditions are not suitable, the photoshoot can be rescheduled to a new date that works for both parties.

For Tourists

I understand that visitors often have limited availability. In the case of bad weather, tourist clients are given priority when rescheduling, subject to availability.

If the photoshoot cannot take place due to heavy rain or other unforeseen circumstances and rescheduling is not possible, 80% of the session fee will be refunded. This policy reflects the time and resources already invested in planning and preparation, including communication and shoot coordination.

I appreciate your understanding and flexibility in the event of unforeseen weather conditions.

Arrival & Punctuality Policy

I kindly ask that you arrive on time for your photoshoot, as I often have other sessions or office work scheduled after yours and must follow a strict timetable.

- I always arrive at the location at least 15 minutes early to allow for possible public transport delays, and I kindly recommend that you do the same.

- If you arrive late, your session time will be reduced accordingly.

- If you do not arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time and I do not hear from you, the session will be considered cancelled and the payment will be non-refundable.

Rescheduling Policy

Clients may request to reschedule their photoshoot within 72 hours of making the booking or up to 14 days prior to the scheduled photoshoot date.

If a rescheduling request is made 13 days or less before the photoshoot, a rescheduling fee of €65 (excluding VAT) will apply.

All rescheduling requests must be submitted via email using the contact form. Requests made through other channels will not be considered valid and will not be binding.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you cancel your photoshoot within 72 hours of making your booking, you will receive a full refund. This policy does not apply to last-minute bookings made less than 14 days prior to the scheduled photoshoot.

After this initial period, the following refund terms apply:

  • Portrait & Boudoir Photography
A 50% deposit is non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, a 50% refund of the total session fee will be issued.

  • Commercial Photography
Due to the complexity and preparation involved, 70% of the total project cost is non-refundable. In the event of cancellation, a 30% refund will be issued.

Unforeseen Circumstances

For Portrait and Boudoir Photography, if an unforeseen event beyond the photographer’s control prevents the session from taking place, the client may choose to reschedule at no additional cost. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued, along with a list of alternative photographers who may be available.

For Commercial Photography, a new date will be scheduled in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
